Job Description

Cleared Systems is seeking a Healthcare Risk & Compliance Consultant to support healthcare organizations in strengthening their regulatory compliance and cybersecurity programs. This role focuses on helping healthcare providers, technology vendors, and regulated organizations identify compliance risks, implement security controls, and align operations with healthcare regulatory requirements.

The Healthcare Risk & Compliance Consultant works with clients to conduct risk assessments, evaluate security controls, and develop policies and procedures aligned with healthcare privacy and security regulations. The consultant will support organizations in preparing for audits, improving security posture, and maintaining compliance with frameworks such as HIPAA and applicable cybersecurity standards.

This position requires strong analytical skills, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to translate complex compliance requirements into practical solutions for healthcare organizations.

The ideal candidate has experience working in healthcare compliance, cybersecurity, risk management, or regulatory consulting and is comfortable working directly with healthcare leadership, IT teams, and compliance professionals.

Job Responsibility

• Conduct healthcare compliance and security risk assessments for healthcare organizations and vendors.

• Evaluate compliance with regulations including HIPAA privacy and security requirements.

• Assist organizations in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

• Support audit readiness efforts, including documentation reviews and control validation.

• Provide guidance on secure handling of protected health information (PHI).

• Identify regulatory and cybersecurity risks affecting healthcare operations and recommend mitigation strategies.

• Assist with vendor risk assessments and third-party compliance reviews.

• Collaborate with client leadership, IT teams, and security professionals to improve compliance posture.

• Support incident response reviews and breach risk assessments when required.

• Deliver compliance training and advisory services to healthcare organizations.
