Job Description

HIPAA Certify is seeking a Healthcare Privacy Officer responsible for overseeing privacy compliance and protecting sensitive patient information across healthcare organizations. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy regulations, implementing privacy policies, and supporting organizations in maintaining strong privacy practices related to protected health information (PHI).

Job Responsibility

Oversee privacy compliance related to protected health information (PHI).

Develop and maintain healthcare privacy policies and procedures.

Provide guidance on proper handling and disclosure of PHI.

Support healthcare workforce privacy training programs.

Collaborate with compliance, security, and IT teams to strengthen privacy controls.

Assist with breach response processes and documentation when required.

Monitor privacy compliance and recommend improvements to privacy programs.

Ensure healthcare staff understand privacy responsibilities and regulatory requirements.
